A Truly Captivating Story Of Grit, Humility And Perseverance

One Day Beyond
The Top Of The World:
The Inspirational Book

In the early morning light of May 23, 2019, Namgya Sherpa grabbed Tac’s hand and pulled him to a small rise in the snow on Mt. Everest’s summit platform. After days of pushing his body and mind to new heights, Tac believed Namgya wanted him to sit and rest. Then Namgya leaned forward and spoke the unforgettable words that brought 30 years of climbing, overcoming personal challenges, and reaching goals to an emotional peak:

“Sit here, Tac. You are sitting on top of the world!”

At the age of 62, Tac Caine became the 82nd person over age 60 to summit Mt. Everest. Follow him step by perilous step on his seven-week expedition in the motivational book, “One Day Beyond the Top of the World.”

Experience the warmth of the Nepalese people, the beauty of the Khumbu Valley, unexpected setbacks, extreme physical and mental challenges, and emotions ranging from self-doubt to elation on his captivating journey to the top of the world’s highest mountain.

MOTIVATIONAL SPEAKER, AUTHOR, BUSINESSMAN, PHILANTHROPIST, CLIMBER

Anthony “Tac” Caine

A native of Pittsburgh, followed by 27 years in Chicago, Tac Caine was far too busy raising a family and scaling the ladder of success in the tech and investment industries to ever consider climbing a mountain. He didn’t even begin the challenge of alpine climbing until his late 30s.

To this day, he readily admits he’s an average climber at best, but his discipline and ambition led him to conquer other numerous formidable peaks before summiting Everest, including Mt. Rainier, Mt. Whitney, Carstensz Pyramid, and all 54 of Colorado’s 14,000-foot peaks. He resides in Aspen, Colorado, and enjoys the outdoors as much as possible with family and close friends.
